Localization

North Vietnam, 120 km southwest from Hanoi.

Access

Easy. 2.5-3 hours drive from Hanoi.

Characteristic

222 km2, Mounatinous national park situated in the foothills of the northern Annamite Range. The park consists of two verdant limestone ranges and lush valleys. Elevation varies from 150 meters to 656 m. The limestone mountains house numerous caves, many of which are accessible for exploration. The average temperature in Cuc Phương is 21oC, with a mean winter temperature of 9oC. High temperatures can reach above 30oC. On average it rains more than 200 days a year and the average annual rainfall is 2,100mm. The dry season is November to February, Typical ecosystems: rain forest, karst biotopes, freshwater ecosystems.

Very good conditions for hiking - number of paths for hiking are maintained.
