Kepulauan Seribu National Park

Localization

A chain of islands 45 km north of Jakarta's coast.

Access

Very easy. Either by a charter boat from the Jaya Ancol Marina north of Jakarta (the journey time is 1-2 hours) or from Muara Angke to Pramuka Island about 2.5 hours by ferry.

Characteristic

1080 km²; Marine national park. A chain of 110 plain coral islands (altitude 0-2 m), 36 of them may be used for recreation. Typical ecosystems: marine and coastal ecosystems, coral reefs, mangroves.

Note

Only 13 islands are fully developed with touristic infrastructure
