Localization
South of Central Chile, 8 km southwest of Pucón, 120 km southeast of Temuco.
Access
Easy. By bus or car from Temuco to Pucón. From Pucón is a gravel road only. Several parts of the park are accessible only by a 4x4 vehicle.
Characteristic
630 km2; Mountainous region of lateral branch of the Andes mountains range. The centerpiece of the park is a line of three volcanoes stretching transversely to the Andean range: Villarrica, Quetrupillán, and Lanín. It ranges in elevation from 600 m to 3,776 m at Lanín Volcano. Many beautiful mountain lakes. The drainage divide between the Toltén River drainage basin and the Valdivia River basin runs through the park. Rain between March and August, ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 mm. The snow reaches up to 2mts. Typical ecosystems: temperate zone forests, freshwater ecosystems (lakes and rivers), alpine and volcanic biotopes, mountain steppe.

Possible activities
Very good conditions for walking and trekking - lots of hiking trails. Climbing up to the crater of the volcano with the view of the boiling lava in the interior.
Fishing, sea kayak, white water kayak, rafting, mountaineering, horseback riding (suitable even for beginners), mountain bikes, skiing (ski center), spelaeology - lava tunnels exploring
