Localization

Southern part of Central Chile; approx. 1100 km south of Santiago de Chile, 46 km east of Puerto Montt
Access
Easy, along the national road No.7 from Puerto Montt.
Characteristic
393 km2; Mountainous region reaching a sea coast at the south. The altitude of the park's ranges from the sea level to the top of hills - from 1,200 to 1,500 m. It is bounded by the Reloncaví Estuary on its east and south sides, and by the Reloncaví Sound to the west (excluding a coastal fringe of a few km). To its north lies Chapo Lake. It boasts deep valleys with almost vertical mountain sides and about 50 lakes and natural ponds. Typical ecosystem - temperate zone forests (coniferous and mixed) covering about 200 km2 of the total park area up to the altitude of 900 m, alpine biotopes, freshwater ecosystems.

Possible activities
Perfect conditions for walking and trekking in all areas of the park. The park has a network of trails and shelters for overnight stay.
Wildlife observation, boat trips, sport fishing, horse riding.
