Characteristic
1300 km2; Almost entirely flat landscape - elevation 0-60 m. A central core area of the park is characterised by relatively intact primary tropical rainforest. Typical ecosystems - lowland rain forest, wetlands, mangroves, mosaic grassland biotopes, coastal ecosystems.

Elephant, rhinoceros, leopard, tapir, several kinds of monkeys, Malaian bear, reptiles, crocodiles, 286 bird species - painted stork.

Trekking, excellent conditions for birdwatching and animal watching,

Note
The park was intensively logged between 1954 and 1974, destructive fires in 1997.
