Localization
North-west Papua, located in South-west quadrant of Cenderawasih Bay, south-east of Bird's Head Peninsula.
Access
Quite difficult. By plane to Manokwari. From Manokwari to the park (Rumberpon Island) by longboat, 5.5 hours. Or from Manokwari to Ransiki by car, about 3 hours, then a 2.5 hours trip by a motor boat.
Characteristic
14,535 km2; The largest marine national park of Indonesia. 18 small and bigger islands (about 4% of total area). Typical ecosystems: tropical rain forest, sea and sea coast, coral reefs, mangroves, wetlands.
