Bu Gia Map National Park

Localization

South Vietnam, 200 km north of Ho Chi Minh City at Cambodian border. Dong Xoài, the closest major city, is about 100 km from the main entrance.

Access

Somewhat difficult, remote park - about 4.5 hours driving from Ho Chi Mihn City, about 2 hours from Dong Xoai. The road DT741 goes through the Bu Gia Map National Park

Characteristic

260 km2; Park locates in a transitional area from the Central Highlands to the Southeast of Vietnam. 90% forested hilly area with the highest point in 738 meters above sea level. Hills reduce their height from the West to the East. Due to the pristine of the primeval forest is characterized by evergreen moist forest, with seasonal deciduous oil forests, giant forests intermingled with timber trees.There are many rivers originating in the park forming lots of beautiful waterfalls and small lakes. Typical ecosystems: moist evergreen forest, semidecidious forest, fershwater ecosystems.

Possible activities

Walking and hiking through the forest - there are numerous roads and paths.

Note

All guests must be with a guide to ensure their safety and security. 

The best time to visit XI-IV (dry season). Bù Gia Mâp National Park is open year-round, but only fit or experienced hikers should consider tackling the difficult trails during the wet season.
