Localization
Central Vietnam, 700 km south of Hanoi, between Hue (40 km) and Danang (65 km).
Access
Easy, from the main road Hue - Danang.
Characteristic
220 km2, Park is situated in the Annamite Mountains (the highest point is 1440 meters above sea level and it can be found only 18 km from the sea coast) and is one of the wettest places in Vietnam (approx. 8000 mm of rainfall per year). Its mountains are composed mainly of granite, and the topography of the park is generally very steep. Park position, at the biogeographical border between northern and southern Vietnam, combined with its variety of habitats, ranging from the coast to high mountains, means the park is rich in biodiversity. Temperatures in December and January can be quite cool with around 15 degree centigrade. The hottest months of the year are from May to August. Typical ecosystems: tropical monsoon forest at the base of mountains, sub-tropical forest above 900 m, scrubland, but also grassy areas, freshwater ecosystems.

Possible activities
Possible hiking along tourist paths, near the park there are thermal springs Suoi Voi.
Note
In 1932, the summit of Bach Ma was selected by the French engineer Girard to become a hill station for the colonial administration of Hue. By 1937 the number of holiday homes had reached 139 and it became known as the “Dalat of Central Vietnam”. After independence from the French, Bach Ma was soon forgotten and the villas abandoned.
